I’m sorry I didn’t post anything last week! We've had some storms recently, and some of them have been a little intense, like the one yesterday that caused the city to flood and all of the public transportation to stop running. Walking home in the middle of that was... interesting. Toward the end of last week, though, there was quite a bit of wind which damaged some cables. It took the internet company a few days to fix it, and by the time they did, it made more sense to just combine the weeks 4 and 5 posts together. Don’t worry, though, you really didn’t miss anything! Right now I’m flipping through my journal entries from the last couple of weeks, and almost every one of them starts out saying something along the lines of “nothing particularly special happened today…” or “it’s been a fairly unremarkable day…” so I apologize if this post is only made up of boring little details about my life. Then again, I guess that's what a blog is.

Three weeks down, fourteen to go! I survived my first week of school, which really wasn’t bad at all. I was happy to find that I like my teachers and my classmates. I have made a couple of good friends so far! My new friends Valentina (from Columbia) and Lieselotte (from Belgium) are particularly great. 9/8/2014 1 Comment Saint-Guilhem-le-DésertBonjour, tout le monde!
Two weeks down, fifteen to go, and I’m still loving it! Classes are finally starting tomorrow, so that will be a whole new adventure. I was placed in one of the intermediate levels, which means that I scored high enough to take some elective courses while I’m here. I’m not sure what my course options are, but I am pretty jazzed about that! |
AuthorHey everybody! I started this blog so that I can keep everyone updated while I'm off on foreign excursions! Hopefully I'll have lots of adventures to tell you about. Archives
